Data & Privacy

In the rapidly evolving world of AI, it’s natural for schools and colleges to seek guidance on how best to harness this technology for the benefit of students and staff. While the pace of change may feel overwhelming, we believe that AI offers incredible potential to enhance education.

At Spark Education AI, we are committed to providing a secure and trusted environment where AI is used thoughtfully and responsibly. We prioritise data protection and privacy, ensuring that all users—teachers and students—can engage with AI safely and with confidence.

At Spark Education AI, we ensure compliance with GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, and other global data privacy laws by following these key practices:

  • Minimal Data Collection – We only collect essential data. Teachers create student accounts using a display name of their choice, with no full names or personal email addresses stored.

  • Secure Login with Unique IDs – Students log in using a unique system-generated ID, rather than personal emails, ensuring anonymity and enhanced security.

  • Pseudonymisation – All user-generated data, including story prompts (character, setting, plot), is not linked to any personally identifiable information, ensuring complete privacy.

  • Purpose Limitation – We collect and use data strictly for educational purposes. No unnecessary personal data is attached to student interactions.

  • Data Protection by Design – Our app is developed with privacy at its core, implementing industry best practices to protect user information.

  • Regular Compliance Reviews – We conduct ongoing reviews of our data protection measures to remain fully aligned with GDPR and other global regulations.
